LEASE OR EXCLUSIVE

Two prices. One question: does anyone else get the beat?

The short answer

A beat lease, which MATRIX MUSIC calls a License, costs $24.99. You can record and release a song on the beat, but other artists can license the same beat too. An exclusive costs $249.99. The beat is removed from this site permanently and nobody else can buy it.

Neither one sells you the beat itself. On both, MATRIX MUSIC keeps 50% of the composition and you keep 50% for your lyrics and topline.

Which one to buy

Buy the License when you want to record and release on a budget, or test a song before you commit. $24.99 gets you the files and the signed license straight away.

Buy the Exclusive when you want nobody new releasing on that beat after you. Anyone who licensed it earlier keeps their rights, so ask how many there are before you buy.

Either way, every beat page shows its BPM and key, so you can check the fit first: trap, Jersey drill, boom bap, dancehall, R&B.

Questions artists ask

If I buy the exclusive, can artists who already leased the beat keep using it?
Yes. An exclusive does not cancel licenses sold before it. Those artists keep their rights, and MATRIX MUSIC will tell you how many there are if you ask in writing.

Do I own the beat if I buy the exclusive?
No. The exclusive is a license, not a sale of the beat. MATRIX MUSIC keeps 50% of the composition (the writer's and publisher's share); you keep 50% for your lyrics and topline.

How long does each license last?
The License runs for as long as you follow the agreement. The Exclusive License is perpetual.

Do I have to credit the producer?
Yes, on every tier. The credit reads: Produced by MATRIX MUSIC.

When do I get the files?
Immediately after payment, with a signed license agreement in your name listing the beat title, the tier and the date.

The paperwork

Every purchase is covered by the MATRIX MUSIC Master License Agreement (clauses 2, 3, 6.3 and 8.3 cover what is on this page). A copy comes with your files and is attached to your receipt.

Written by MATRIX MUSIC. Last updated 2026-11-01. Prices are launch pricing and can change; the tiers page always has the current price.

* SI: super intelligence / AI. At MATRIX MUSIC it is a production tool used under the producer’s direction — every record is written, produced and signed off by MATRIX MUSIC.
